PCCP to launch National Strategy for COPD advocacy project

The Philippine College of Chest Physicians (PCCP) has come up with the National Strategy for COPD. This College activity aims to address the problem of a high COPD prevalence and a disturbingly high incidence of unrecognized COPD. The strategy basically plans to address the problem through education and advocacy programs involving the general population, patients and physicians, both front-line and specialists, as well as through research. To be more effective in its implementation, we have tapped government agencies, the various quad media corporations and pharmaceutical companies to help us in this endeavour.

Project launching of the National Strategy for COPD is scheduled on November 20, 2013 (10AM-1PM) at the Quezon City Sports Club, E. Rodriguez Avenue, Quezon City. This is primarily a media event wherein the stakeholders for this ambitious project will have a chance to further explain their role in this nationwide activity.
